Our best-selling hampers for the new year — perfect for family, friends, and colleagues
Gudi Padwa marks the beginning of the new year for Maharashtrians and is one of Mumbai's most widely celebrated festivals. Walk through Girgaon or Dadar on Padwa morning and you'll see gudis hoisted outside every window — bright silk cloth, neem leaves, a garland of flowers, and an upturned copper kalash catching the early sun. The same festival is known as Ugadi in Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana, where families prepare the iconic Ugadi Pachadi with its six flavours representing the year ahead.
Gifting is deeply woven into the Gudi Padwa tradition. The neem-and-jaggery ritual — eating neem leaves mixed with gud (jaggery) — symbolises embracing both the bitter and sweet moments of life. Our hampers draw from this philosophy: we pair traditional Maharashtrian mithai like puran poli, shrikhand, and modak with premium dry fruits, artisanal chocolates, and savoury snacks. Each hamper is packaged in festive wrapping that feels right for the occasion, not generic.
For businesses in Mumbai, Gudi Padwa is the ideal time to strengthen relationships. Many of our corporate clients send hampers to employees across their Mumbai, Thane, and Pune offices. We handle everything from custom-branded packaging to staggered multi-location deliveries. Whether you're sending 25 hampers to your team or 500 across the state, we've done it before and know how to get it right.
Gudi Padwa 2026 falls on Thursday, March 19th. It marks the beginning of the new year in the Hindu lunisolar calendar and is celebrated with great enthusiasm across Maharashtra. Ugadi, the South Indian equivalent, is observed on the same day in Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana. We recommend placing your gift orders by March 14th for guaranteed delivery.
Traditional Gudi Padwa gifts include sweet hampers with puran poli, shrikhand, and modak, premium dry fruit boxes, and gourmet food hampers. Many families also appreciate gifts that pair sweets with savouries — our hampers combine Maharashtrian mithai with artisanal namkeen and imported chocolates for a well-rounded gift.
